Some westerns Haikus from "Selected Poems of Jack Kerouac" published by 思潮社

This July evening,
a large frog
On my door sill.

In my medicine cabinet,
the winter fly
has died of old age.

the taste
of rain
- Why kneel?

Missing a kick
at the icebox door
It closed anyway.

Again... I wonder if there are some orientalistic point of view in this so-called Western Haikus. Japanese Literature has Senryu, and in more modern "bubble-times" the Salary-man Senryuu.
